Okay, so no one's actually asked that many questions about the site, but I thought this was a good place to address elements of the site about which some may wonder.
What's this about the 'spirit of the site'?
In brief, we love the characters of Trowa and Quatre from Gundam Wing; we especially love them as they were portrayed in the series. The site is dedicated to fiction, art, essays, etc., that celebrate them as three dimensional, sympathetic characters. We do not wish to see any character bashed, bastardised, tortured, or marginalised, especially not Trowa or Quatre. Goodness knows they've each been neglected or abused enough by the Gundam Wing fandom at large.
Although the site is no longer explicitly affiliated with the SDQB, we remain allied with the cause of defending Quatre's strengths without neglecting his humanity. We are just as firmly commited to defending Trowa's character from the one-dimensional and--at times--downright brutal or brutalised portrayals one often encounters in fandom.
For more about the characters we celebrate at this site, check out the essay section.
How does one get archived here?
The primary way to be archived here is to post your Trowa or Quatre fiction to one of the yahoo groups archived here. So long as your fic falls within the spirit of those lists (and this site) we'll add it to the archive. Those lists are as follows:
• Love Trowa
• SDTP (Society for the Defense of Trowa's Personality)
• tqcoop
The other way to be archived is to post some Trowa or Quatre fic somewhere else that gets our attention. If we read and like a fic, we may contact you and ask if you'd permit us to archive it. We reserve the right to not archive any piece of fiction that we feel is not suitable to the site's spirit.
X author's fics or Y fic used to be here, what happened to them?
When the list owner of SDQB and Love_QuatreML decided to move the archives for those lists, we decided to overhaul the fiction archives here. Some authors we still archive, some we do not. If you're looking for someone in particular, you can find the new archives for those Quatre lists at Dryerspace. If you're still stumped in finding your Trowa and/or Quatre fic or author, we recommend you post a fic search on the tqcoop mailing list.
The old archives are (for now) still intact and online, although they are no longer updated (save for the authors still actively archived).
The site hasn't been updated for a while. Is the webmistress dead?
I hope not! I'm likely busy with that pernicious beast called real life.
